Title: Riptide (a tale of Illyria)
Link: Here.
Summary: Merek Galleron is a mage on the run, accused of a murder he didn't commit, and has been forced to leave the home he's known all of his life behind until he can be vindicated.

Wrote this as a response to the prompt "seafaring" for a prompt on Mythic Scribes for a flash fiction challenge of 500 words. (Ended up reusing part of the same title for the Riptide's Light story that I have posted but they're not in the same world...

Flash fiction feedback...?
by kherezae - August 01, 2016, 11:28:52 PM
I wrote Withstand the Storm for a flash fiction challenge, max of 500 words, and I'd love some feedback on how well it functions as a story given the length constraints! If you have some time to read it and drop me a line, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Bonds of Iron (a tale of Illyria) (high fantasy/sword and sorcery)
by Jedi Knight Muse - July 17, 2016, 10:07:01 PM
I wrote Bonds of Iron (a tale of Illyria) as my entry for challenge #3. It's the same setting as my Dragonsbreath entries, but it takes place many years before the previous ones. Keep in mind that it was written for the challenge so it's probably missing a fair amount of things in terms of development due to only being allowed to write 3,000 words. I'm really curious about the feedback that anyone might have about it. This was the first time In a long time, if ever, that I tried...

Night awakening
by Sheepy-Pie - July 05, 2016, 11:33:30 AM

It's a teeny tiny piece cause I had an idea I wanted to explore. I mean it probably doesn't make the most sense as I didn't write it with people in mind, as obviously I know all the backstory. But I wanted to share :P so hopefully you guys like?

Oh yeah, and it involves Celeste, the girl in my sig! Yay!

The Desert in Winter
by Ahryantah - July 01, 2016, 05:05:48 PM
I went back and forth over what I wanted to post first and eventually decided on this. The Desert in Winter is a working title in lieu of anything better at the moment. I actually don't have a whole lot of this written (it started out as a NaNo a couple years ago but I ended up switching projects pretty early on), but there is an outline--four books' worth of an outline, so we'll see if that actually ever happens--and I do want to get back to working on it regularly.

Anyway, it takes...
