The Untitled: An Anthology of Paranormal Psuedo-Fiction
by briari hallow - June 28, 2016, 01:22:01 PM
Hi all!

I've been working on a side-project (aside from my main novel) that I'm hoping to publish at the end of the summer to "test out" the self-publishing waters.

The Anthology, which is currently unnamed, is a series of 13 stories based on real-life experiences with the supernatural-paranormal. I call it pseudo-fiction because most of the events are grounded in realities of myself or my family members, although some of the circumstances and all of the characters are...

Average Jo
by Becca - June 23, 2016, 09:36:32 AM
I've finally contributed :) I added the first two chapters (well... more like 1.5) of this book I started a little while back to the library. It's called Average Jo, and it's about a college student in a city that is frequently assaulted with superbattles between superheroes and villains. Basically, I came up with the idea when I wondered what life would be like for the average citizen in the background of superhero stories. So this is her story.

Dragonsbreath: Bloodline (writing challenge- high fantasy/sword and sorcery)
by Jedi Knight Muse - June 18, 2016, 09:11:45 PM
I wrote Dragonsbreath: Bloodline as an entry to the first writing challenge, and I really like what I wrote. So much so that I think I'm putting Seer's Pawn to the side and am going to work on expanding this thing into something more. o__o

Summary: Amasra is a mage apprentice under the tutelage of Merek. Her life changes one night when someone from the past comes to inform her of the bloodline she comes from and the danger she's in.

Riptide's Light; Riptide's Shadow
by Jedi Knight Muse - June 07, 2016, 10:35:03 AM
I posted the first chapter of one of my older projects, Riptide's Light; Riptide's Shadow. It's unedited and not even close to being finished, but I wanted to put -something- else up since I have nothing else that's finished. I'm not really looking for any kind of in depth feedback on this story, especially since I think it might end up being changed a lot if I ever go back to it.

Bone and Ash - solarpunk/scifantasy YA
by kherezae - June 02, 2016, 01:04:33 AM
I could really use some encouragement, some feedback, or something -- I've stalled out on writing my novel. I really like the story, but I'm torn between keeping the pace quick and slowing it down a bit to better ground the world and some of the side characters.

So some thoughts would be awesome, especially general reader reactions. "This part is boring" or "I wouldn't read past this chapter, honestly," or... whatever.
