One of the things I'm dabbling in is photography. I've only seriously been getting into it since 2013, though I got my first DSLR in 2014 when I started school for my graphic design degree and took my photography class. Here are some of my most recent (as in, from Sunday) shots.

I have some others but I have to finish getting ready for work so I'll have to post more later.

They are all lovely shots, but the chicken and the sheep are probably my favorites of the whole bunch. The one with the floating ice and the log is a close third.

Thanks, @Tyrannohotep! I love the sheep one, too, but I'm really the most drawn to the log and the plane one, I think. I'm definitely submitting those two photos to my dad's hometown's photography exhibit this summer. It'll be the second time I'm submitting and I won first place in one of the categories so I have to try and keep that streak up.

Also, if anyone wants to follow my photography/graphic design page on Facebook, it's here. I'll post some more photos in a bit.

Ooh - those photographs are beautiful! I'm also a fan of the log and the ice photo, and I really like the train tracks and the lamb! Great artwork! (:

Taken last summer in New Jersey, on a road trip I went on with my friend

Taken last March, at the Boston Aquarium
I won first place (in the category I entered it into) with all four of the turtle pictures in the photo exhibit at the fair in my dad's hometown that takes place every August...first time ever entering!

Taken (and edited - notice the black and white background) this past fall, of my dad's dog Carraig

Thank you! I got super lucky with those pictures. I never expected them to come out as good as they did (or help me win first place XD).

They really are. If I remember right, this turtle's name is Myrtle. XD

My town's library did a free live owl presentation yesterday and I was able to get these two photos. :D

The second owl's eyes remaining bright yellow is a cool effect!

I went to the (only) zoo in my state (Connecticut) on Friday and got a bunch of photos. Rather than uploading them all onto Tinypic, I'll just link you to the album on my Facebook page for my photography, which is here. :D

I've been a little crazy this past week, which is one reason why I haven't been on the forum. Yesterday, I went to the fair in my dad's hometown. They have a photography exhibit - I submitted to it last year and won first and second place with my turtle and blacksmith's hammer pictures. This year, I won first, second, and third place!

First place

Second place

Third place
