General
What is Worldsmyths?

Worldsmyths is a community of writers focusing on the fantasy genre. We offer a community full of other writers of all experiences and ages who are looking to share, discuss and grow with their fellow authors.

How do I find info about the staff members?
You can find info on our staff members here at the About the Staff post.

Are there any requirements to being a member?
All members must be 13+ years old.

We ask that all members be as active as possible, and always be respectful of staff and other members of the site.

Are all forums public? Are there any members only forums?
No, all forums are not public.

The help center, brainstorming, and the showcase forums are all members only. The 18+ Restricted Section section is password protected.

Immediately contact a staff member via private message, and the staff members will take care of it.

How do I contact a staff member?
You can contact a staff member by viewing the staff member's profile and clicking "send PM." Alternatively, you can also use the contact form found here. There's also this post, which gives other ways of contacting us.

Is this a role playing site?
No. While we may add a section on the forum in the future for those who may want to participate in role playing, the main focus of the site is on things such as short story/novel etc writing and not on role playing.

Are we allowed to necropost? What is necroposting?
Yes, you're allowed to necropost- we have nothing against people reviving old threads, and we encourage it! (Though we also suggest that you look and see where the post was made- for example, if it's an announcement that's been made, it might not apply any more, and therefore may be best left alone. If you have a question or suggestion about an old topic, you're welcome to send a PM to a staff member and ask them.)

Necroposting is responding to a post that has been inactive for a long period of time and may be considered "dead."

How do I update my signature?
You can find a tutorial on how to do this here.
