Why fantasy?

I actually think I don't read that much fantasy compared to other things. I read extremely widely.

But fantasy is the only thing I write. Mostly because creating worlds is just so much fun for me, but I also seem to have a hard time writing in the real world. No matter what I do it seems to feel counterfeit.

I've always been an imaginative kid; creating worlds, fantastical stories, and complex histories heavily inspired by hours spending on Wikipedia. When I started reading, it was always fantasy books and rarely any other genre. Fantasy is limitless and isn't bound by our laws of reality.
